Askew produces 156 checkout to deny Monk in decider, Jenkins makes it two from two with victory over Cole

The action continues in Group Three of the MODUS Icons of Darts Live League with victories for Jason Askew, Andy Jenkins and Arron Monk at the halfway stage.

Askew was facing off against Arron Monk who turns 30 today and hit a 180 and a 156 checkout in the decider to snatch the victory away from the former World Youth Champion and recover from an early poor display against Jarred Cole - where he lost in a whitewash defeat.

Cole couldn't continue from his initial victory and lost out in his second game to Andy Jenkins who claimed a 5-3 win to make it back-to-back with a 94 average and a high checkout of 137. Could today be the day when Jenks is back?

Monk finally recovered from the aforementioned defeat to Jason Askew by seeing off Robert Collins in a 5-3 win with a 97.3 average. Can he remain at the top today?

The Icons of Darts League is a competition that runs on 24 different days from Monday April 6 through to Saturday May 2. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win for that day.
