Nathan Aspinall will play Gerwyn Price this evening in the semi-finals of the
World Grand Prix in Leicester after a narrow win over Martin Lukeman as his nine lives so to speak continue.
"I've played poorly and won. I thought I played a really good game there tonight, Martin (Lukeman) made the Quarter-Final and I think we both though a good opportunity to make the semi's. But I upped my game tonight which I need to but my maiden Semi-Final I am happy," said Aspinall post match.
Playing the set play format, it meant Aspinall had it more difficult than in leg play but ultimately to reach a semi-final is the main thing especially after a torrid time with injury.
"It makes it more interesting. You've never won the game till you've hit the winning double, it is different. Luckily tonight it worked in my favour but all I can say is I'm dead happy, from where I was six months ago, I'm on cloud nine."
