Aspinall coasts past Henderson, home hero Gawlas sends Prague into raptures with Olde Kalter win

The opening round of the Czech Darts Open continues with Nathan Aspinall and Adam Gawlas through to Saturday's action in Prague.

Aspinall who has been in superb form as of late was taking on a player who has not been in John Henderson and that showed in the result.

'The Asp' coasted to a 6-1 win over the World Cup winner who will defend his title in a few weeks time. He averaged 95.2 and hit 50% on the doubles en route.

While Gawlas edged past Dennie Olde Kalter 6-4 and sent the home crowd into raptures.

He averaged 86 and by the aid of two bull finishes in a 95 and 92 towards the back end of the tie, he pulled away from the Dutchman and sealed his spot.

Next he will face Damon Heta fresh from another week of brilliance on the ProTour to start tomorrow evening but can he get to 'The Heat'?
