Aspinall delighted after claiming Players Championship 2 title: "This weekend I've felt brilliant and I've beaten some quality players"

Nathan Aspinall claimed his fourth PDC ranking title to continue his brilliant rise in what was a superb day of darts at Players Championship 2.

Aspinall defeated Gerwyn Price in the final and en route also produced the highest combined match average in PDC history alongside Peter Wright in the Quarter-Finals.

He was obviously delighted to not only claim victory but to play as well as he did throughout the day and for 'The Asp', he now wants even more.

"I've never thrown darts like that, the last two hours of play I just felt like I wasn't going to miss," said Aspinall.

"To throw such a big average against the World Champion makes it even more special.

"This weekend I've felt brilliant and I've beaten some quality players, I'm very happy to win my second ProTour title.

"I'm still on cloud nine to be in the Premier League. I'm still new to this game, I'm still learning.

"I know what I can do and I want to show it more consistently."
