Aspinall given reminder of Van Gerwen defeat during visit to the pub: "Someone's taking the p***"

Nathan Aspinall had a creditable performance at the World Matchplay last week. He lost to eventual winner Michael van Gerwen.

Aspinall, who has his career somewhat back on track after a lingering wrist injury, lost 16-14 to Van Gerwen in the quarter-finals. The latter threw in a 146 finish in the 30th leg to decide the match.

However, the day after his defeat, 'The Asp' was inadvertently reminded of the loss against the Dutchman when he went for a drink in a pub.

"Of all the tables to get put on. Someone's taking the p*** lol," he tweeted with a picture of a drink on a table which happened to be the number 146.
