Nathan Aspinall will make his Premier League debut this evening when he takes on John Henderson on the opening night in Aberdeen.

Aspinall has had a brilliant rise up to this point and he is still in disbelief that he is involved in this year's main line-up and he is looking forward to enjoying every second. He also spoke about the increased pressure on himself and whether he feels it or not.
"It just topped off what has been an incredible two years for myself. When I found out I was going to be in the Premier League, I couldn't believe it, how far I'd come in such a short space of time. I'm relishing the challenge ahead, it's going to be tough but it's one I'm looking forward to," said Aspinall to LiveDarts.
"I think the calibre of player from number one to number 64, we're all quality players, we can all beat each other. I'm just another player in the PDC system, I don't think there's a bigger target. I think the difference is that people playing me know they have to play well, I'm one of them guys that if you make a mistake I'll step in and punish you for it."

World Series

Aspinall claimed the US Darts Masters last year on his World Series debut and it is an experience that 'The Asp' wants more of and at the very least he wants to defend his title in New York later this year.
"I would love to get them all. I'd love to go to Australia, it's something I've wanted to do as a young lad, let alone play darts over there but you've got to be realistic; there is a lot of other players that deserve a shot. I don't want to be greedy, I can't say I deserve it but I'd love to have the opportunity to defend my title in America."

On facing Henderson

The Stockport ace will face John Henderson on Thursday and for Aspinall, it is a game that he didn't want due to their friendship off the oche and he already knows what he will be in for in terms of a crowd reaction in Aberdeen.
"For me watching that walk-on last year, my hairs on my arms were standing up. I'm good friends with John and Veronica, I sit with them at ProTours, we go out together. He's the guy I didn't want, him and Dobey, I got John. It's going to be an amazing occasion for myself, just to play in that atmosphere. I think I'm going to get booed to death but that comes with the territory."
