The field of participants for the Australian Darts Masters has been announced. World champion Luke Humphries and teenage sensation Luke Littler will make their debuts 'Down Under' at that tournament.

The Australian Darts Masters 2024 will take place at WIN Entertainment Centre on August 9 and 10, where some of the sport's biggest names will compete for the coveted World Series of Darts title.

World champion Humphries heads the 16-player field of competitors in Wollongong. Humphries is one of two PDC representatives making their debut on Australian soil, with teen sensation Littler also breaking new ground after taking the darts world by storm over the past nine months including winning the Premier League Darts at the age of 17.

Rob Cross - the winner in Wollongong in 2023 - is hoping to follow up his strong results at the World Series. Australian number one Damon Heta will try to shine on home soil, while former world champions Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright will also make their appearances.

Dimitri Van den Bergh completes the list of PDC representatives. The UK Open champion gets to compete in a Wrold Series tournament in Australia for the third time in his career.

Australian darts legend Simon Whitlock, who along with Heta won the 2022 World Cup of Darts, tops the list of Oceanic representatives. Haupai Puha, New Zealand's best darter has also received an invitation. The field of participants is further completed by Brenton Lloyd, Rob Modra, Stuart Coburn, Joe Comito, John Hurring and Jeremy Fagg.

Local players will be paired with one of the PDC players in the draw for the first round of the Australian Darts Masters. The first round is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 9, before the tournament concludes with the quarterfinals, semifinals and final on Saturday, Aug. 10.
