The
Bahrain Darts Masters is set to return for its fourth staging between 15-16 January, 2026 hosted at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir and will feature 16 players vying for £100,000 in total
prize money with £30,000 for the winner.
Stephen Bunting is the defending champion having defeated Gerwyn Price 8-4 in the 2025 final to win his first World Series of Darts title. He was at that point one of the best players in the world as a result of his World Series prowess.
He will return to defend his title in 2026. Luke Littler will lead the field as top seed with the first event unlike others on the circuit being seeded based on
Order of Merit as opposed to the World Series. Luke Humphries will be involved while Gian van Veen makes his full World Series debut as a result of a breakthrough 2025 which saw him reach a World final and win the European Championship.
Michael van Gerwen joins him as one of three Dutch players on the World Series to start the new season. As well as Van Veen and Van Gerwen, Danny Noppert will be involved. He was in the mind of some unfairly snubbed from the Premier League after five major semi-finals in 2025. His makeweight it seems is that he will likely play most of the World Series this year especially if Littler and Humphries stick to their promise and don't play Australia and New Zealand.
How much is on offer?
Bunting returns while Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall are also involved. The latter is also not in the Premier League this year. Jonny Clayton and Josh Rock are the only players in the Premier League line-up not to make the trip.
There are two Bahrain qualifiers in Abdulla Saeed and Basem Mahmood with Alexis Toylo, Lourence Ilagan, Motomu Sakai, Ryusei Azemoto, Paul Lim and Mon Lok Leung making up a strong contingent of Asian representatives most of which will also play in Saudi Arabia the week after.
While the
Prize Money for the World Series of Darts Finals has increased from £400,000 to £450,000 for this next season, this is not the case for the main events in the year. The winner will claim £30,000 for sealing the title, while it will be £16,000 for the runner-up. Semi-finalists receive £10,000. While Quarter-Finals also known as the second round is £5,000.
First round losers receive £1,750. Order of Merit points wise, these go towards the World Series of Darts Finals which will take place in Amsterdam in November.
