The
Saudi Arabia Darts Masters is set for its inaugural airing between 19-20 January, 2026 hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will feature 16 players vying for £100,000 in total
prize money with £30,000 for the winner.
Luke Littler will lead the field but he does not lead the
Order of Merit with Michael van Gerwen, the
champion in Bahrain leading the way. Luke Humphries will be involved while Gian van Veen makes his full World Series debut as a result of a breakthrough 2025 which saw him reach a World final and win the European Championship.
As well as Van Veen and Van Gerwen, Danny Noppert will be involved. He was in the mind of some unfairly snubbed from the Premier League after five major semi-finals in 2025. His makeweight it seems is that he will likely play most of the World Series this year especially if Littler and Humphries stick to their promise and don't play Australia and New Zealand.
How much is on offer?
Bunting returns while Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall are also involved. The latter is also not in the Premier League this year. Jonny Clayton and Josh Rock are the only players in the Premier League line-up not to make the trip.
Alexis Toylo, Lourence Ilagan, Motomu Sakai, Ryusei Azemoto, Paul Lim, Mon Lok Leung, Paolo Nebrida and Tomoya Goto make up a strong contingent of Asian representatives.
While the
Prize Money for the
World Series of Darts Finals has increased from £400,000 to £450,000 for this next season, this is not the case for the main events in the year. The winner will claim £30,000 for sealing the title, while it will be £16,000 for the runner-up. Semi-finalists receive £10,000. While Quarter-Finals also known as the second round is £5,000.
First round losers receive £1,750. Order of Merit points wise, these go towards the
World Series of Darts Finals which will take place in Amsterdam in November.
Also in Saudi Arabia there is the
Riyadh Season Bullseye in which players if they hit a nine-dart finish, they will get one dart to hit the bull to double their winnings to £200,000. For a nine-dart finish, it is £100,000. This was not an addition to the
prize money in Bahrain and isn't for the remainder of the World Series with Saudi Arabia liking to mix it up and put on special concepts for the events.
