Beau Greaves wins first match on PDC Pro Tour after spectacular end to match against Josh Rock

Beau Greaves won a match on the PDC Pro Tour for the first time in her career on Tuesday. With a 6-5 victory over Josh Rock, she qualified for the second round of Players Championship 2.
Greaves makes her debut on the PDC Pro Tour this week. In January, she won two of the first five Challenge Tour tournaments, putting her at the top of the Challenge Tour Order of Merit. That position allows her to compete as an alternate in the Players Championship tournaments when one or more Tour Card holders fail to register or cancel.
On Monday at Players Championship 1, she already played a good match, but then lost 6-4 to Owen Bates. The draw for Tuesday's tournament produced a duel with former World Youth Champion Rock, but Greaves brought the match to a successful conclusion.

A 17-darter and a 13-darter gave Greaves a 2-0 lead early in the match and a 13-darter later made it 3-2 for the Englishwoman. Rock then took three legs in a row to lead 5-3 after eight legs.
Then Greaves began her comeback. After Rock missed a matchdart on the bullseye, Greaves narrowed the deficit to 5-4 with a 16-darter. Then the world's best women's dart player conjured a 12-darter and an 11-darter from her arsenal to win 6-5. In addition, Greaves also posted a stunning 102.77 average thanks to six 180 scores.
This is i believe the second best performance by a woman against a man in a ranking event? Mensur Suljovic was ranked 11 when Fallon Sherrock beat him at the World Championship, Rock is ranked 17 currently.

- obviously littler has the potential to surpass everybody simply because nobody has been this good at this age before, but people who think he would be any kind of favourite right now against prime taylor in a big final have short memories. it's obvious that prime taylor wouldn't win as many world titles if he was playing today, but there's also good reason to believe he'd be winning more than anybody else. hell, his statistical profile still stands alone in darts history and he might statistically be even better if he was playing today with better equipment, larger beds, more competition therefore more motivation, etc.colt24-03-2025
