On the opening day of action at the World Cup of Darts, Belgium narrowly escaped elimination coming from 3-1 down to see off Czech Republic 5-4.
Speaking afterwards the pairing of Kim Huybrechts and Dimitri van den Bergh admitted it was a 'massive relief' but something they can take forward.
"It's a massive relief because Czech Republic is a hard team. Although we haven't seen them much at the World Cup but we know Karel Sedlacek now from the ProTour. Adam Gawlas lost the final in the Youth so they're a tough team to beat," said Huybrechts to OnlineDarts.
"It was tough to get myself going because I'm playing good and I'm playing bad. At the moment, I don't really have the B game but I was feeding off Dimitri. If we can always make the pairs, I think we're a very strong pair. I think the doubles, we are one of the most tough teams to beat."
"In the beginning, I didn't feel comfortable about it. But we always have to believe in ourselves and that's what we did and that's what we kept doing until the end of the game," said Van den Bergh to OnlineDarts.
