Koltsov played in World Cup of Darts tie despite his father passing away on Friday

Boris Koltsov showed real courage on Friday night by playing in the World Cup of Darts after receiving the news that his father passed away on Friday morning.

Koltsov decided to stay in Salzburg and play his game against Wales on Friday. The Russian appeared with a black band on his shirt in tribute to him alongside compatriot Aleksei Kadochnikov.

Partly due to the circumstances, the Russians could not impress against favourites Wales. Their opponents Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton turned out to be too strong with a 5-0 win.
