Ben Robb wins qualifying tournament in New Zealand for World Darts Championship

Ben Robb on Monday sealed qualification for the World Darts Championship at the PDC. 'Big Rig,' as his nickname goes, was the best at the qualifying tournament for darters from New Zealand.

The sixteen best darters from the Dartplayers New Zealand Tour (DPNZ Tour) got to decide during the playoffs who gets to travel to Alexandra Palace in December. Robb effortlessly managed to get through his group and then dealt with Kayden Milne (7-4) and Haupai Puha (8-4) to win the tournament.

Robb has qualified to compete in the World Darts Championship at the PDC three times before, but the New Zealander has managed to make little impression. Three times the first round was his end point after defeats against Ron Meulenkamp (3-0), Rusty-Jake Rodriguez (3-1) and Mickey Mansell (3-1).
