Bob Anderson played his final official match last weekend. At the World Seniors Darts Masters, he went down 4-0 against Richie Howson in the first round.
"It's been a long career and it's had plenty of high spots. Today it was a low spot for me but it was the final spot," the 75-year-old told Online Darts. "It's the right time for me to retire."
"My day is in the sunshine has come and gone," continues Anderson, who's legendary career saw him lift the 1988 World Championship and win the World Masters three times. "I'm just too old now and I have to accept that, no matter how tough it is."
