Bully Boy means business: Smith sets up semi-final clash with Dobey at 2023 Masters after easing past Noppert

World Number One, Michael Smith will face Chris Dobey in the first confirmed semi-final this evening at the 2023 Masters after the World Number One and World Champion eased past Danny Noppert 10-5 on Sunday afternoon.

Smith produced a 103 average, seven 180's and 50% on the doubles in a superb display as he looks to make it back-to-back major titles and win two out of three since World Championship glory.

Smith trailed to begin the tie with Noppert going 3-2 up but Smith soon found his footing and breezed through four legs on the spin to take control and went 5-3 up averaging 104.8.

The procession continued as he made it six without reply going 7-3 up and three away from victory.

He moved to the brink at 9-4. Missing 136 for it, he soon returned for double eight with Noppert only able to pressure and set up 92 with Noppert way back to then seal the deal at 10-5.
