Bunting pleased with overall game after Wade win: "Over the last 18 months my scoring has been phenomenal"

Stephen Bunting produced a superb display to dump out the two-time World Grand Prix champion, James Wade in a 3-1 victory to book his Quarter-Final spot.

Bunting spoke afterwards and was pleased as usual with his scoring game in particular.

"There was a lot of aspects of that game which I didn't feel really comfortable with but when you beat James Wade you've got to be happy and such a great double in double out player. The last two people I've beat have won the event," said Bunting post match.

"Over the last 18 months since I've got the new darts with Target, my scoring has been phenomenal. I showed glimpses of it in the world's, I think I've showed glimpses of it so far."

Next up will be Ryan Searle and it is a tie that Bunting is looking forward to with the respect he has for 'Heavy Metal'.

"I've got the upmost respect for Ryan. I watched his game before as well, he played fantastic. Such a nice lad as well away from the oche and it'll be one of them, the best man will win."
