Stephen Bunting lost out to Jamie Hughes in the final of the Czech Darts Open with the St Helens thrower reaching a maiden European Tour final.
Bunting spoke afterwards and despite losing out to 'Yozza' he took the positives from it and said that he would have taken positives even from winning one game.
He added that it shows progress that he got that far in Prague and he hopes he can now take the form into future TV events.
"I am proud of my achievements this weekend, even winning just one game I would've taken positives from," said Bunting.
"It shows progress that I've reached my first
European Tour final, hopefully it will be the first of many, and I can take my good form into the upcoming TV events."
