Jamie Hughes claimed a maiden European Tour title after only a few months as a Tour Card holder this past weekend winning at the Czech Darts Open against Stephen Bunting.
Hughes summed it up afterwards and said it's an amazing feeling especially with the work that has gone in to reach that point. He also made the
World Matchplay as a result in a last-gasp shock no-one was really expecting; he added that he is ready to show the world how good he is at the Winter Gardens.
"It's an amazing feeling to win my first title, I've worked so hard for this moment," said Hughes.
"I've been playing well for a while now, better than I played this weekend strangely enough, and now I've finally got the results to show for it.
"To make the World Matchplay so soon is fantastic for me and now I can't wait to show the world what I'm about on one of the biggest stages in world darts."
