Burnett returns to the World Darts Championship for the first time since the 2014 edition. 'The Prince of Wales' had also qualified in 2015, but was removed from the field at the last minute due to a ban at the Grand Slam for cocaine use.
The Welshman beat Bradley Brooks (6-4), Kevin Burness (6-4), Brian Raman (6-3) and David Evans (7-3) to secure a return to Alexandra Palace.
He will be joined in tonight's draw by Ryan Joyce who only just missed out through the ProTour Order of Merit and Jeff Smith who will make his fifth Ally Pally appearance.
Joyce sealed it in the final round with victory ovver Jamie Clark (7-3), after previously beating Max Hopp (6-4), Rusty-Jake Rodriguez (6-5) and Gordon Mathers (6-3). Smith beat Jack Main (6-5), Darren Webster (6-0), Steve Lennon (6-5) and Nick Fullwell (7-1).
