Burnett takes lead in MODUS Online Live League after strong performances on Tuesday

Richie Burnett has taken the lead in the second week of the MODUS Online Live League with an excellent day seeing four wins.

Burnett only lost his game to Day One winner, Jamie Caven who did not get further than his one victory.

He did claim the win against Darryl Fitton (4-3), Joe Davis (4-0), Barrie Bates (4-0) and Robert Thornton.

In his match against Thornton, Burnett reached an average of more than 109.

With three wins on Monday and four wins on Tuesday, the Welshman is now at the top of the rankings.

Thornton also has fourteen points, but has a significantly less leg difference. Davis and Caven follow on ten points, while Fitton (eight points) and Bates (four points) have no chance of winning in this group after Wednesday's matchday.

Each player plays once a day against each other until Wednesday with the winner of this group moving through to Saturday's final.

The number two and three in the table will play in a new group against three new players on Thursday and Friday evening. These are former World Master, Colin Monk as well as Paul Hogan and Chas Barstow.

The numbers four, five and six on Wednesday will then play another new group with Adrian Gray, Diogo Portela and Fallon Sherrock coming into the fray.

They will play on Thursday and Friday afternoon and the top two of these new groups will also qualify for the final group which five players battling it out for the weekly title.

Unlike the previous edition of the MODUS Live League, the games are not played online via a webcam. They are played at a TV studio in Southampton, England and can be followed via various bookmakers and the Online Darts YouTube channel.
