The PDC
Development Tour circuit will consist of 24 tournaments in 2022. Last year there was a separate tour for British and European players due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year both circuits have been merged again.
The 24 tournaments are spread over five weekends. Two of those five weekends will be played in Niedernhausen, Germany, the other three weekends in the United Kingdom.
During the first weekend, 18-20 February, five tournaments are scheduled. Also in May (6-8), June (3-5) and August (19-21) five Development Tour tournaments will be played. In the last weekend (8-9 October) four tournaments will be played.
Each Development Tour tournament has a prize fund of £10,000. With the prize money a ranking will be made. At the end of the season the numbers one and two will receive an invitation to the PDC World Darts Championship, plus a Tour Card for 2023 and 2024.
