March 2025 promises to be a spectacular month for darts fans. With a mix of the Premier League, Players Championships, European Tour events and various other tournaments, there is plenty to look forward to.

But even for players without a PDC Tour Card, there are tournaments to look forward to this month. Here is an overview of the main PDC events in March 2025.
March 6: Premier League Darts - Week 5
The Premier League Darts continues with Night Five from the southern English city of Brighton. The world's best darters battle for crucial points in an evening of top matches in the hunt for a spot in the playoffs. The battle for the top spot is starting to take shape.
On each night, players can earn for the rankings. The weekly winner accumulates five points, while the losing finalist takes home three points. Players stranded in the semifinals receive two points.
March 7-9: Belgian Darts Open (ET1).
The first European Tour of the year takes place in Belgium. The complete list of the world's top stars are set to be present at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze, where Luke Littler will try to defend his title. The Euro Tour tournaments guarantee a lot of darts spectacle and offer the chance for players to collect pounds for the rankings.

The Euro Tour circuit is a series of a total of 14 tournaments spread across countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Switzerland. The 32 best players get to compete in the European Championship in Dortmund at the end of the season.

March 8-9: Women's Series 5-8
The Women's Series are also on the PDC calendar during the month of March. On this circuit, the best female darters in the world compete against each other. With four tournaments spread over two days, the participants compete for qualification to bigger PDC tournaments such as the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Cup.
This season, the Women's Series circuit consists of a total of 24 tournaments. The top two players of the season get to compete in the World Darts Championship, while the number one also receives an invitation to the Grand Slam of Darts. Through the Women's Series, ladies can also qualify for the Women's World Matchplay, which also includes a World Championship spot and participation in the Grand Slam of Darts.

March 11-12: Players Championship 5-6
The next Players Championship tournaments will take place in Leicester. These are major ranking tournaments where Tour Card holders compete for the top prize of 15,000 pounds, as well as valuable prize money in the qualifying races for the major tournaments.
The field of participants in a Players Championship tournament consists of 128 players. These are usually the 128 PDC Tour Card holders. If a Tour Card holder does not register or later withdraws, the highest ranked players on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit are invited to fill the vacant spots.
Playing Players Championship tournaments is the only route for players to grant themselves entry to the Players Championship Finals. At the end of the season, the 64 best players get to compete in the final tournament in Minehead.

March 13: Premier League Darts - Week 6
The sixth round of play in Premier League Darts brings another night of excitement. Players must continue to perform to avoid falling behind in the race to the playoffs. Who can stand out on this night at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham?
March 14-16: Challenge Tour 6-10
The best players without a PDC Tour Card gather this weekend in Hildesheim where the second tournament weekend of the Challenge Tour will be played. Five tournaments in three days make for an intense weekend as players try to qualify for promotion to the Pro Tour.
The Challenge Tour consists of a total of 24 tournaments spread over five different weekends. For the two best players of the year, a PDC Tour Card is waiting for the next two seasons. In addition, two starting tickets for the World Darts Championship are also handed out and, in addition, the leader of the rankings may participate in the Grand Slam of Darts.

March 17-18: Players Championship 7-8
We remain in Germany for a while, as immediately after the Challenge Tour tournaments, two more Players Championship tournaments will be completed in Hildesheim. Again, two events in which a total of £125,000 in prize money will be divided among the participants.
March 20: Premier League Darts - Week 7
With Night Seven, the Premier League is nearing the end of the first half of the season. This time, the travelling darts roadshow is visiting Cardiff, where local hero Gerwyn Price in particular will be keen to show some good form.

March 21-23: European Darts Trophy (ET2)
The second European Tour event of the year will take place in Göttingen, Germany, where the battle for the European Darts Trophy title will erupt. A field of 48 players is competing, including big names such as Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright.

The eighth round of Premier League Darts play will be played in Newcastle, the place where Chris Dobey in particular will enjoy a lot of support from fans. 'Hollywood' hails from nearby Bedlington.
The playing schedule for this evening is not yet known, as the schedule for the eighth round of play is based on the Premier League Darts standings after seven weeks of play. The number one starts against the number eight, the number two against the number seven, and so on.
March 28-30: Development Tour 6-10
The Development Tour is the breeding ground for young talent. This is where the stars of the future get the chance to make their names and make their way to the PDC top. The Mattioli Arena in Leicester is the setting for the next five tournaments of this circuit.
The Development Tour consists of a total of 24 tournaments spread over five different weekends. For the two best players of the year, a PDC Tour Card is waiting for the next two seasons. In addition, two starting tickets for the World Darts Championship will also be handed out and, in addition, the leader of the rankings may participate in the Grand Slam of Darts.

March 31 (& April 1): Players Championship 9-10
The month of March ends with a Players Championship tournament, before the new month of April also starts immediately with a Players Championship event. Players are expected this time in Leicester, where Players Championship 9 & 10 will take place.

With Carl Sneyd taking care of Daryl Gurney, he would have had to beat Andy Boulton before facing the winner of Sneyd vs Mensur Suljović for a Grand Slam spot. - I'm quite a jaded person all things considered, but to be honest I found Beat Luke Littler to be pretty entertaining. It certainly wasn't seamless, which is to be expected given the lack of precedence, but I actually think the pacing was pretty good, the production was impressive, and there was a good sense of humour and levity to it. I think it was a very ambitious undertaking but one that, for the most part, paid off. I liked the system with the four pots and I think it added to the drama and intrigue. I enjoyed seeing the diverse range of entrants and learning about their backstories. I think the interactivity was pretty clever and well-integrated. The panel was a little incoherent at times; Lee Mack shone however, and his improvisational skills were appreciated during some more awkward interstitial moments. As far as the darts is concerned, it was a shame that the format didn't allow Littler to get into full flow. You obviously don't want him to steamroll everyone but you want to feel like you're getting the full Littler package rather than seeing him struggling to get out of first gear. I will say that his leg against Jayden Walker was very impressive, but it was mostly downhill from there. The attraction revolves around Littler being this untouchable, indomitable force, yet the format doesn't really allow him to fulfil that characterisation. As for Fallon Sherrock, she was mightily impressive and deserved the victory. It is a testament to her unshakeable character that she was able to bang in a 14-darter under such mind-bending pressure. Everything that has been said about the misleading marketing is valid, though they were clear about their eligibility criteria and were able to offload the responsibility somewhat by bringing the viewers into the decision-making process in real time. What is clear though, is that Fallon played the game according to the rules, and she should not be criticised for that, much less abused. I will admit though that it is a kick in the teeth for those true amateurs who committed time and money to the course, and I would also question those who think pub players would have no chance, given that some of Littler's winning legs were dispatched in 7 visits to the board! The great thing about darts is that it isn't so much that amateurs cannot replicate the feats of brilliance pulled off by professionals of the sport, than it is that they simply cannot replicate the consistency of their output, something that this format almost entirely removes from the equation. It should also be noted that, financially, Fallon certainly stands to benefit much less in relative terms from the paycheque than would your average pub thrower, as I'm sure she nets a fair income from the lucrative exhibition circuit alone. What I do hope is that she might use this as an opportunity to really build up a head of steam heading into the new season, as it seems long overdue that she come through Q-School and really take it to the pros on a week-in week-out basis, but whatever she chooses to do, she has certainly achieved enough already for one if not several lifetimes, so who am I to dictate terms? To conclude though, I will state once again that I found Beat Luke Littler to be a pretty enjoyable evening of entertainment. I do feel for the contestants who never actually had the chance to try their luck against the world #1, although I suppose it comes with the format, but all which inevitably raises the question: will Netflix be tempted to do it all again next year? It's hard to say. Whether it would be financially viable, I can't weigh in there. One point I have been making though, and which I touched on earlier, is that the entire concept relies on a public perception that Littler is more or less unbeatable, and that certainly hasn't been the case of late. If the execs had been trying to pitch the show in recent months while Littler has seemed vulnerable, rather than when he was mopping up almost every major title on the calendar, it would certainly be a tougher sell. We will have to see in about 6 months' time whether Littler can still reliably command perception as a near-unstoppable force in darts, and then we'll have a clearer idea about whether we should expect a second helping. Even as a one-off experiment though, and with all the controversy taken into account, I still don't think they disgraced themselves by any means, and that will probably be my lingering assessment of the event when all is said and done.Deduce635801-11-2026
