Cameron Menzies knocks out Josh Rock; defending champion Gerwyn Price also advances to last sixteen

Cameron Menzies, Gerwyn Price and Martin Schindler are the next three names to secure a spot in the last sixteen at the International Darts Open in Riesa.

Menzies handled Josh Rock in great fashion. Rock led by a 126 in the fifth leg, but Menzies hit back with a 118 check-out. The next four legs went with the darts, requiring a deciding leg. Menzies missed two matchdarts, after which Rock had his chance from 69. However, 'Rocky' missed twice on double 6, before Menzies managed to hit the double 5 for the victory.

Gerwyn Price began his hunt for a fifth title at the International Darts Open with a 6-4 victory over Brendan Dolan. Martin Schindler impressed with a 105 average win over Joe Cullen. The German won 6-3 over 'The Rockstar' in front of his own crowd.
