The PDC have announced a new partnership with Cazoo, a leading online car retailer who take sponsorship of three major tournaments going forward.
A move that benefits both darts and other sports in the Matchroom portfolio such as snooker and fishing, they will take principal sponsorship of
Grand Slam of Darts,
World Cup of Darts and
European Championship.
As a result, there will be Cazoo branding on stage and on players shirts going forward at the trio of events which start in September in the World Cup and start the second half of the PDC season.
This will also see changes with this being the first time in a number of years that a gambling firm has not sponsored these tournaments. The potential effects of a sponsorship ban on gambling previously discussed late last year.
