UK Government considering gambling logo ban with potential repercussions for darts

Darts and snooker could lose millions of pounds in sponsorship as per The Times with the UK Government considering plans for a logo ban for gambling companies.

This will affect not only the PDC events which are usually title sponsored by gambling companies such as William Hill for the World Darts Championship but also players who have their logos on their shirts.

A change is being considered due to concerns about people becoming addicted to betting through online websites.

This is at a time when due to a lack of fans revenue streams have been cut with the PDC missing out on an estimated £4.5 million due to a lack of fans at the World Championship.
