May has arrived and that is traditionally the month marked by the conclusion of Premier League Darts. Just a few more rounds of play and then we will know which four players get to compete in the playoffs.
But not only the elite get to play this month. There are plenty of tournaments scheduled for other players as well, with Challenge Tours, Development Tours, Euro Tours and Players Championship tournaments. Below is a comprehensive overview of the PDC events taking place this month.
May 1: Premier League Darts - Week 13
The month of May is kicked off with the thirteenth round of play in Premier League Darts. The touring darts circus moves to industrial city of Birmingham, where another weekly title and its £10,000 bonus is at stake. Frontrunner Luke Littler starts on this evening against straggler Stephen Bunting, while Nathan Aspinall takes on Chris Dobey. Luke Humphries awaits a cracker against Gerwyn Price, and Michael van Gerwen faces off with Rob Cross in the final quarterfinals.
Each night, players can earn points toward the rankings. The weekly winner receives five points, the losing finalist three points, and the semifinalists two points each.
May 2-4: Challenge Tour 11-15.
The best players without a PDC Tour Card gather this weekend in Milton Keynes where the third tournament weekend of the Challenge Tour will be played. Five tournaments over three days make for an intense weekend as players try to qualify for promotion to the Pro Tour.
The Challenge Tour consists of a total of 24 tournaments spread over five different weekends. For the two best players of the year, a PDC Tour Card is waiting for the next two seasons. In addition, two starting tickets for the Darts World Cup are also handed out and, in addition, the leader of the rankings may participate in the Grand Slam of Darts.
May 2-4: European Darts Grand Prix (ET6)
The Glaspalast in Sindelfingen is one of the most iconic playing venues on the European Tour and this year's European Darts Grand Prix is back on the Euro Tour calendar.
The field of participants for this tournament consists of 48 players, and almost all the top players are present. Will Gary Anderson be able to defend his title in Sindelfingen? The Scot will face competition from top players such as Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Josh Rock and Gerwyn Price.
May 8: Premier League Darts - Week 14
We are increasingly approaching the end of the league phase. This time the darters are visiting the playing city of Leeds, where the fourteenth round of play is being completed. The first decisions may just fall here.
Who will definitely secure a spot, and for whom will the curtain finally fall? The evening kicks off with a meeting between Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price, before Nathan Aspinall faces a leaden task against Luke Littler. There is also a cracker between Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries, while Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey will fight each other for their very last chance.
May 9-11: Development Tour 11-15.
The Development Tour is the breeding ground for young talent. Here the stars of the future get the chance to make their name and work their way up to the PDC top. Halle 39 in Hildesheim is the setting for the next five tournaments of this circuit.
The Development Tour consists of a total of 24 tournaments spread over five different weekends. For the two best players of the year, a PDC Tour Card is waiting for the next two seasons. In addition, two starting tickets for the Darts World Cup will also be handed out and, in addition, the leader of the rankings may participate in the Grand Slam of Darts.
May 12-13: Players Championship 15-16
We remain in Germany for a while, as this month's only two Players Championship tournaments will also be played in Hildesheim. In both events, a total of £125,000 in prize money will be distributed to participants.
The field of participants in a Players Championship tournament consists of 128 players. These are usually the 128 PDC Tour Card holders. If a Tour Card holder does not register or later withdraws, the highest ranked players on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit are invited to fill the vacant spots.
Halle 39 in Hildesheim has been a regular venue for the Players Championship tournaments for several years.

May 14: ET7-8 Tour Card Holder Qualifiers.
Qualifiers for the seventh and eighth Euro Tour events will be held in Hildesheim on Wednesday, May 14. These qualifiers offer players without automatic placement the chance to qualify for the upcoming European Tour tournaments, where players can strike good deals with a view to qualifying for the ranking majors.
May 15: Premier League Darts - Week 15
The Premier League players can get ready for a noisy night, as the Scottish fans in Aberdeen are known to make a lot of noise and create a wonderful atmosphere. With two rounds of play to go, the pressure is on the players more and more. In the first match of the evening we immediately get an interesting affair, as Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall are major rivals for each other in the battle for a ticket to the playoffs.
Gerwyn Price will battle Stephen Bunting, while Chris Dobey has been paired with Rob Cross for this round of play. The quarterfinals conclude with the topper between Luke Littler and Luke Humphries. Like earlier this season in Glasgow, Scottish fans have no countryman to cheer on this year. For the first time since 2010, no Scottish player is playing in Premier League Darts.
May 22: Premier League Darts - Week 16
During the sixteenth round of play of the Premier League Darts 2025, it sees the Premier League all but complete. After this round, we will know which four players will be able to prepare for participation in the playoffs in London.
The playing schedule for this evening is not yet known, as the schedule for the sixteenth round of play is based on the Premier League Darts standings after seven weeks of play. The number one starts against the number eight, the number two against the number seven, and so on.
May 23-25: Dutch Darts Championship (ET7)
The seventh European Tour event of the year takes place in Rosmalen, Netherlands, where the battle for the Dutch Darts Championship title erupts. A field of 48 players is competing, including such big Dutch names as Michael van Gerwen, Raymond van Barneveld, Gian van Veen, Dirk van Duijvenbode and Danny Noppert as well as the usual leading lights.
May 29: Play-Offs Premier League Darts.
The conclusion of this year's Premier League Darts will again take place at the O2 Arena in London, where over ten thousand frenzied fans will be able to watch who gets to lift the Premier League cup at the end of the night.
The format on this night is a bit higher than during the regular competition. The semifinals will be played over best of 19 legs, and the final will require 11 legs to take the title. The players who make it through this evening are guaranteed as much as £85,000 in prize money. A top prize of 275,000 pounds awaits the winner of the Premier League Darts.
May 30-June 1: European Darts Open (ET8)
The month of May concludes with the start of the European Darts Open, the eighth Euro Tour event of the season. As in past seasons, this tournament will be played Ostermann-Arena in Leverkusen.
In this tournament, 48 players compete for the overall victory. The top-16 of the world rankings and the top-16 of the Pro Tour are automatically seeded, after which the field of participants is completed by 16 winners from various qualifying tournaments.
