The second round line-up continues to take shape at the
Hungarian Darts Trophy with
Dave Chisnall and
Martin Lukeman providing no shocks in their opening wins in Budapest.
Chisnall was superb in his opener against a tricky opponent on paper in Daniel Larsson who has stepped up his game this season and has impressed at times on the
European Tour but was beaten with ease 6-1.
This featured an average of 97.7, three 180's and a high checkout of 137 from the St Helens ace in a classy display which sends an early statement.
While Lukeman who of course is a European Tour finalist this season wrapped up a 6-4 success over Ian White in a superb display also from 'Smash'.
White missed three chances at 5-5 in the tenth leg, after which Lukeman took the win via tops. This in a nip and tuck tie all the way through to its conclusion with White losing his throw in the decider.
For Lukeman, it was a solid 92 average with two 180's, a highest checkout of 116 also as he moves through to tomorrow's action.
