Chisnall claimed a 6-2 victory with an 89 average including three 180's. He also impressed on the doubles restricting Meikle to only two darts compared to his 14.
He hit 6/14 en route and despite not being at his optimum best, he claimed victory with some signs that his top game is there this weekend.
In an important weekend for Clayton, he also kept his hopes alive in Mannheim. If he lost to Scott Taylor, he would have had to qualify through the UK route for Gibraltar but doesn't have to now. He won through 6-4 with a 93 average with a high checkout of 110.
