The Quarter-Final line-up is complete at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel with
Dave Chisnall set to face
Martin Schindler this evening.
This after Chisnall prevailed in a pulsating battle against Gerwyn Price in which the St Helens ace won through 6-4 with a 107 average and nine 180's. This defying an average of 108.3 with six maximums in the process from Price.
Initially Chisnall went 3-1 up with Price's sole leg being a 103 checkout but with a 72 checkout on a 14-darter on double seven after missed darts from the former, Price levelled up at 3-3.
Only for Chisnall to break back with a 116 checkout to go 4-3 up. An 11-darter saw him go one away only for Price to hit one of his own to keep it interesting and hold.
But it was one more dart which could have been another 11-darter as Chisnall hit a 12-dart 47 checkout on double 20 for the win to end a classic.
He was joined by home favourite Martin Schindler who still keeps hopes alive in Kiel of a German winner.
Damon Heta couldn't reproduce the form he showed yesterday as Schindler won through with a 96.5 average and four 180's in a 6-2 win to reach the last eight.
