The final of Players Championship 19 has been confirmed with Dave Chisnall set to face Callan Rydz shortly in Barnsley.
It is the first of a trio of ProTours and for Chisnall as top seed, he lives up to his billing. It would be a first ProTour of the season though for Chisnall who has won two European Tour tournaments so far this year.
While Rydz has made a welcome return to a final. He won two titles in 2021 and will be looking for a first title in two years. He saw off James Wade in a 7-4 win. Chisnall on the other hand breezed past Ryan Joyce 7-2. They now face off shortly in Barnsley.
At each Players Championship tournament, £100,000 in prize money is distributed. The winner of the event receives £12,000 in prize money. The money earned counts towards several rankings which are used to determine the fields for multiple major events.
