Dave Chisnall is through to the second round of the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship after surging past Mike de Decker in a 3-0 straight sets win.
Chisnall averaged 96 with four 180's and 35% on the doubles including high checkouts of 146 and 130 and he will return after Christmas.
A 180 and a 60 checkout saw Chisnall surge into the lead and within a matter of minutes, he was throwing for the set as he broke throw on double 10.
De Decker on double 10 broke throw but the St Helens ace but missed 128 for a 2-2 decider. But he came back with Chisnall missing a 108 checkout.
Both continued to miss darts and De Decker pinned double one to force Chisnall to serve it out. He did so on double five to go 1-0 up in sets.
A 146 checkout saw Chisnall open up with a break in the second set. A 63 checkout saw him hold throw and go 2-0 up. De Decker missed 167 on the bull and Chisnall took out 95 on double 19.
A 130 checkout saw Chisnall take a hold in set three as he looked to surge towards the finishing line. A 94 checkout saw him go one away with a break of throw.
The St Helens ace recomposed himself and missed 106 for the match and De Decker broke throw to make it 2-1.
A 171 was pinned but 120 was missed on double 10 for the win only for him to return for double five.
