After missing out on a Tour Card at PDC Q-School,
Chris Landman sealed his maiden PDC
Challenge Tour title in Event One of the 2023 season.
Landman saw off German ace, Lukas Wenig in the final 5-2 after defeating Wayne Morgan, Jim McEwan, Franz Roetzsch, Owen Bates, Martijn Dragt, Lee Davies and Fabian Schmutzler in a tough run.
There was also runs to the latter stages for the likes of Andy Jenkins, John Henderson, James Hurrell and Berry van Peer with Jelle Klaasen, Conan Whitehead and Alan Tabern all falling in the Last 32.
On this tour, reserve spots for the Pro Tour 2023 and Tour Cards for 2024 and 2025 can be earned. The highest-placed players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit qualify for the reserve spots on the Players Championships.
The number one and two on the Challenge Tour ranking will be offered a PDC Tour Card at the end of the season for the following two seasons. In addition, they may also participate in the PDC World Darts Championship.
