The first semi-final is complete with the two rising stars going down to the established names as
Joe Cullen will face
Dave Chisnall later this evening at the
Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest.
Cullen though was far from his best but still moved through as he sealed an 6-4 success over Rusty-Jake Rodriguez who has broken new ground this weekend personally but will not go any further.
This after Cullen came from 3-0 down to seal victory in a comeback win despite only averaging 84 in the end. After a break, parity was sealed with a 105 average at 3-3 only for Rodriguez to go back in front again but a pivotal 66 checkout after missed darts at a double saw Cullen break and go one away before claiming it with a 90 checkout.
While Chisnall continued his superb form this weekend by easing past Josh Rock who was the man of the moment again at times this weekend but was whitewashed by the St Helens ace 6-0.
This saw a near complete display from Chisnall who averaged 102.5, hit three 180's and a high checkout of 157 as he looks for a third
European Tour title and based off this latest display, it is very much a possibility.
