Luke Littler took the weekly title for the second consecutive week in
Premier League Darts on Thursday night. After his triumph in Belfast, he was also the best in Manchester.
Littler had started the evening with a 6-3 win over Michael van Gerwen, before also beating Nathan Aspinall 6-4. At the other end of the draw,
Gerwyn Price reached the final after wins over Peter Wright (6-4) and Michael Smith (6-3). Against Smith, 'The Iceman' also hit a nine darter.
The final wasn't actually all that exciting. With a 13-darter, Littler took the lead, then managed to make it 3-0 with another 13-darter and a 19-darter. The fourth leg went to Price, before Littler extended the lead to 4-1. In the end, "The Nuke" won the final 6-3.
By winning his second weekly title in a row, Littler is also the new leader in Premier League Darts with 23 points. He passed Luke Humphries, who was stuck on 22 points due to his direct defeat against Michael Smith.
