Clayton was 5-2 up on Ian White and had 'Diamond' come back on terms with him with three consecutive ton-plus checkouts but 'The Ferret' eventually got over the line. It is a big weekend for the Welshman who will be aiming to go as far as possible to avoid a slide in the seedings.
Wade similarly was 5-2 up and had Wayne Jones who was continuing his run in Mannheim hit back at him to force a decider also.
'The Wanderer' missed double 20 for a 160 checkout to claim the victory and Wade wrapped up a 6-5 victory in two tense contests.
