Jonny Clayton reached the Quarter-Finals at the
World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam with a convincing 6-1 victory over local star
Vincent van der Voort.
The Dutchman was never in the game and had an average of just 85. Van der Voort had a moment to fear a whitewash defeat when Clayton took a 5-0 lead. The Welshman had a chance from 108 to make it 6-0, but could not find a treble. Then it was Van der Voort who threw out 50 for 5-1. In the seventh leg Clayton decided the match on double 8.
Dimitri van den Bergh booked his place in the last eight at the expense of José de Sousa. The Belgian posted a creditable average of 101.
