Kim Huybrechts has qualified for the Quarter-Finals of the
World Series of Darts Finals at the expense of
Peter Wright (6-1). The Hurricane booked his first TV victory over the Scotsman since 2012.
Huybrechts already had a 3-0 lead after three legs. Wright, who once again came up with a new set-up, won the fourth leg as he hit tops, but then saw his Belgian opponent run out to 5-1 with two 15-dart legs. Huybrechts then finished it off with a magnificent 150 finish. The Antwerp native will play his countryman Dimitri van den Bergh in the Quarter-Finals, as The Dreammaker saw off José de Sousa.
Fallon Sherrock was unable to cause an upset in Amsterdam against the stoic
Krzysztof Ratajski, who seemed unimpressed by the fact he was playing against a woman. Thanks to an average of 97 with 55% on the doubles, the Pole won quite easily with 6-1.
