Clayton dodges dynamite scare against Barry, Cross silences home crowd with De Decker win

Jonny Clayton and Rob Cross are through to the final day of action at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze but especially for 'The Ferret', a huge scare was dodged in the process against Keane Barry.

Clayton trailed 5-4 but forced a decider before taking out 79 to seal the victory despite Barry missing a match dart at double 16. Aiming to protect his European Tour seeding this weekend, the Welshman will be mightily relieved after claiming a narrow victory.

While for Cross, silencing the home crowd was on the agenda for 'Voltage' after he saw off Mike de Decker 6-4 with a 93 average and 50% on the doubles as he moves into the final day yet again on a European Tour.

A 12-darter began his leg tally as he made it 1-1 before sealing a pivotal break at 3-2 up with De Decker missing multiple darts to hold.

From there, he went 4-2 up and despite an 11-darter on his own throw, De Decker failed to mount a charge on the Cross throw and 'Voltage' held on double 16 to claim it.
