Clayton gunning for World Darts Championship glory: "It's every dart players dream"

Jonny Clayton played out a PDC World Darts Championship epic with Keane Barry with the duo breaking the record for the most ton plus finishes in a five set game.

Clayton came out on top though laying down a marker in the form of a 103 average and admitted he had to play like that to get anything from the tie.

"What a game to be part of. Keane Barry was absolutely fantastic, he brought the best out of me and I'm a proud winner of that game," said Clayton post match.

"I had to play my top game, I got away with the first set probably but all of a sudden I was 2-1 down and I needed to dig deep."

On potential Price clash

Gerwyn Price could await once more later in the tournament but for Clayton, he isn't thinking that far ahead.

"I'm not going to think that far ahead. I've got other matches to win first and my focus is on the next one."

But he is thinking of picking up the World Darts Championship which will remain one of his goals.

"I'd love to pick this up, it's every dart players dream. So I'd love to become a World Champion."
