Clayton leads Players Championship Order of Merit after eight Super Series tournaments

The Players Championship Order of Merit is led by Jonny Clayton after eight tournaments after 'The Ferret' claimed his latest title this week.
Clayton has already reached four finals this year, three of them came in the initial iteration of the Super Series.
This means he has already won ÂŁ35,750 in prize money in the first eight tournaments.
Joe Cullen reached two finals and claimed one title so far and as a result sits second place with ÂŁ27,000 with 'The Rockstar' top seed for the latest Super Series.
Behind Cullen, there is a big gap to the next player on the list. But is shows a who's who of the players in form.
Gerwyn Price (ÂŁ 18,500), Brendan Dolan (ÂŁ 17,000), Peter Wright (ÂŁ 16,500) and James Wade (ÂŁ 15,000) all managed to win one Players Championship tournament.
So did Callan Rydz is eighth on the list. Michael Smith, with his seventh place, is the highest player who has not yet won a title this year.
Raymond van Barneveld is in 11th following his return win in the opening round of Super Series. While Michael van Gerwen who missed the latest four tournaments stands 33rd after an inconsistent opening foray in Bolton.
While Glen Durrant (41) and Gary Anderson (44) still have work to do going into the next Players Championship.

He comes across as a jokey person but it's a class A piece of sheet, miserable as hell and completely full of himself. I don't know anyone who can say anything positive about this goof. - Absolutely disgraceful, really I've said many times that ITV coverage is superior to SKY and SKY know that. Jacqui was absolutely fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. Emma from SKY is more interested in what to wear than learning about darts. Chris Mason is absolutely the best and greatest commentator on TV, even better than Alex Jacques on F1 and Alex is absolutely brilliant. It is criminal that Chris and Alan will probably never be on TV again, what an amazing waste of talent. Poor Ned, who is just as excellent and knowledgeable on darts as the Tour de France has lost both gigs this year. The whole ITV team from presentation, commentary, production the whole team will definitely be missed and I have enjoyed every minute of their coverage. Thank you so much. John Part is the ONLY decent and knowledgeable person on SKY. - Gurney is off form and will completely crack and have a meltdown as the crowd will be relentless, although I think Beau will beat him anyway. I also think Fallon will beat the Helium voiced Chisnall. Poor Gemma has a toughie Peter Wright is also completely off the boil but will probably squeeze past Lisa.
