Jonny Clayton is the final player through to Premier League Darts finals night on Friday in Milton Keynes after seeing off Dimitri van den Bergh 8-6 in their crunch clash to end Night 16.
He will join fellow debutant, Jose de Sousa in fighting it out for this year's crown as well as five time champion Michael van Gerwen and last year's finalist Nathan Aspinall with MVG being his opponent in the semi-finals.
Going into the tie, Clayton knew a draw would be enough to win through and he set about his business with a superb 121 checkout to level proceedings up at 1-1.
This was followed up by a break of throw which was consolidated to make it 3-1 to 'The Ferret'.
The gap was closed from there to 4-3 by Van den Bergh but another 121 checkout saw him restore his cushion and from there, he sealed a guaranteed point at 7-5 as he accomplished his mission.
From there, The Masters champion pinned double 20 first time to seal the win which was done with a 104 average to boot against a fellow standout of this year's tournament also in his debut season who just misses out.
