Jonny Clayton has continued on from reaching the final at the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim by winning through
PDC Home Tour II Phase Two Group One on Tuesday.
Clayton claimed five wins out of six seeing off Stephen Bunting (5-3),
Kim Huybrechts (5-2), Alan Tabern (5-2), Daniel Larsson (5-2) and
Jermaine Wattimena (5-2).
His only defeat of the day came at the hands of
Chris Dobey (5-4). 'Hollywood' himself placed third so will join 'The Ferret' in the next stage, like Clayton and also
Kim Huybrechts, he won five from six but was edged out on leg difference.
Alan Tabern is currently in fifth after two wins from six. While Stephen Bunting and Daniel Larsson finished adrift.
From September 29 to October 7, five match days are scheduled in the second phase. Every day a group of seven players will face off. The top four of each group will advance to the third phase. At the end of the second phase, the best fifth placed player can also go through.
