The PDC has released the schedule ahead of the 2020 World Grand Prix, with four former World Champions playing on the opening night.
The 2020 World Grand Prix will be played from October 6-12. This tournament has an unique format, as players need to start and finish the legs with a double. There will be no live crowd involved during this event, as the tournament takes place behind closed doors in the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Defending champion and five-time tournament winner Michael van Gerwen takes on Krzysztof Ratajski on the opening night, while two-time world champion Adrian Lewis and Chris Dobey have the honor to open this year's edition. Former world champions Rob Cross and Gary Anderson will also collide on Tuesday October 6.
The second night on Wednesday will see reigning world champion Peter Wright meeting debutant Ryan Joyce, while last year's finalist Dave Chisnall faces Glen Durrant. World number three Gerwyn Price has Jermaine Wattimena as his opponent in the first round.
All first round ties will be played over a best of three sets, with three legs needed to win a set. The first round winners will return to the stage on October 8-9, before the quarter-finals are held on Saturday October 10. The semi-finals will take place on Sunday October 11 and the final on Monday October 12.
