Gabriel Clemens is preparing for his fifth participation in the PDC
World Darts Championship. Just like the previous two years, 'The German Giant' is one of the top players from the ProTour.
The German had a poor start to the season, but still gave his year some color with two quarter-finals during the last two Euro Tour tournaments. To dartn.de, Clemens gave an explanation for his poor season start.

''I was struggling with bursitis in my throwing arm. So I had some problems with my arm and therefore the performance was not good at first. In the end, I still performed well,'' Clemens said.
About his results at the television tournaments, he is not satisfied. ''That was not good. It ended quickly each time, with the exception of the UK Open. I would have liked to have won a match at the World Matchplay or World Grand Prix. Next year I will try to do better.''
What does make Clemens positive is that he turned more bad matches with low averages into wins this year. ''Why that's the case, I don't know.... But fortunately there were also matches with a better average. That should happen more often now,'' Clemens concluded.
