Cole seals first Development Tour title in five years after Event 14 success over Rodriguez

Jarred Cole has returned to the winners' circle for the first time since 2018 with success at PDC Development Tour 14.

Cole saw off Rusty-Jake Rodriguez in emphatic fashion in the final 5-1. This after wins over Tomas Houdek, Dominik Gruellich and Cam Crabtree in the latter stages.

This was surprising with none of Gian van Veen, Luke Littler or Wessel Nijman getting to the latter stages all going out at Last 16 or earlier.

He joins Bradley Brooks, Nijman and Van Veen in the winners' circle this weekend so far with one more event tomorrow.

The PDC Development Tour is considered the breeding ground of the PDC. Talented players have the opportunity to further develop their gift on this circuit. Players may enter as soon as they reach the age of 16. They may then compete up to and including the season in which they turn 24.

Prize money breakdown during PDC Development Tour

Prize money of £15,000 is distributed per tournament, so the prize pool for the entire circuit of a total of 24 tournaments consists of £360,000.

From reaching the last 64, players can earn prize money, starting with £75. That amount then increases with each round. The winner collects a handsome £2,500.
