Colleagues react to Anderson's passing: ''Fantastic dart player and even nicer bloke'

For the second time in a short time, the darts world has said goodbye to a popular player on the circuit. Barely a month after the death of Andy Fordham, Kyle Anderson has also passed away.

The Australian died on Tuesday at the age of 33. Fellow darts players reacted shocked to the passing away of Anderson, someone who brought a smile to the face of many players.

''Not only a brilliant player but a very nice man'', Simon Whitlock characterised his compatriot. In a similar vein were the words of Nathan Aspinall. ''A fantastic dart player and an even nicer bloke.''

Michael van Gerwen also reacted sadly to the news. ''A lovely man and always fun to be with, very sorry to hear about Kyle. We had many great games and a fantastic player. A credit to Australian and world darts. RIP mate.''

Anderson's manager Mac Elkin posted some photos of him and his player on Twitter, along with an emoji of a broken heart. The same management stable also includes Jermaine Wattimena and Ted Evetts. ''Woke up this morning with sad news that one of the kindest person past away'', said Wattimena.

Also Evetts paid a tribute to his colleague. ''One of the first people to welcome me onto the PDC and always checked how I was, to then roasting me in the next sentence. Had everyone laughing and one of the kindest people you could to meet! Only photos of us so thankful for memories!! You will well and truly be missed.''
