Cross on Grand Slam chances after Pipe win: 'If I turn up then I've got a great chance to win'

Rob Cross won through his opener at the Grand Slam of Darts defeating Justin Pipe with ease on the opening day.

Cross spoke afterwards and admitted that he has not been feeling the best as of late but that if he turns up, he feels he has a great chance this week.

"I sort of did the right things at the right times. Justin (Pipe) I felt he struggled in the game, he never really got going," said Cross to Online Darts.

"I'm nice and relaxed. I played the Winter Series and results never went my way. I started off I didn't really feel well at the start of the week. Then as I went on I started to feel better but I was missing doubles at crucial times. I have to take that with a pinch of salt and move on."

"If I turn up then I've got a great chance to win this next week and the world's so it's a good thing to look forward to."

"Personally I don't think there is anyone in the world that worries me when I'm on form."
