Cross tops World Series of Darts Order of Merit after sweeping double header in Australia and New Zealand

The World Series of Darts tour has concluded for the season with Rob Cross topping the Order of Merit. He has taken top spot from Gerwyn Price who led for a long while up until Australia and New Zealand.

Cross won in Hamilton and Wollongong back-to-back and will be top seed in Amsterdam. This also sees the line-up for the Finals next month all but finalised.

As the top eight after the last World Series tournament in Australia are certain to participate in the World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam (Sept. 15-17).

This means that Cross, Price, Michael Smith, Michael van Gerwen, Dimitri van den Bergh, Peter Wright, Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries are all assured of spots in Amsterdam.

Last year further invited players, eight in all were added as well as the Tour Card Holder Qualifiers. Those presumably added will be any of Damon Heta, Danny Noppert (being on home soil and on nine points), Jeff Smith, Jonny Clayton and Raymond van Barneveld.

All sit just outside of the qualifying amount and those will likely be confirmed in the coming weeks with the tournament only just over a month away.
