Joe Cullen survived a scare when he faced off against Davy van Baelen and won through in a deciding leg victory against the Belgian.
He had to come from 3-2 and 5-4 down to beat him though producing a brilliant 132 checkout en route; all of this after his luggage got lost so he had to borrow items from the merchandise stand.
'The Rockstar' heaped praise on Van Baelen and said that after his first performance he knew he was going to be in for a battle and that in reality he thought he was the better player.
"Davy was unbelievable yesterday so I knew I had my hands full," said Cullen. "He kept sticking in there and I was chasing him all through the game, even though I thought I was the better player."
