Cullen after surging to victory over Borland at European Championship: "I felt like my experience would always show"

Joe Cullen is through to the Quarter-Finals of the 2021 European Championship after seeing off William Borland in a 10-5 victory.
Cullen came from 3-2 down to surge to victory with three straight legs from 5-3 up proving the catalyst.
"I started a little bit slowly but I felt if I imposed myself on the game that I'd come out at the other end as a winner," said Cullen.
"I felt like my experience would always show in the end. Willie's a brilliant player on the floor but it takes a lot to bring your floor game to the stage.
"I did more than enough to win the game. I tried to keep on top of him because I couldn't afford to get complacent."

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
