With claiming the title at the International Darts Open, Joe Cullen has finished the season as number one on the European Tour.
Cullen won the final European Tour in Riesa on Sunday ahead of Michael van Gerwen who himself would have gone top of the Order of Merit had he claimed the title after previously reaching a final losing also to Jose de Sousa.
Gerwyn Price finished second followed by Jose de Sousa and Devon Petersen with all three having claimed European Tour tournaments so far this season.
Following that is Michael van Gerwen who sits in 5th ahead of Michael Smith, Mensur Suljovic, James Wade and Krzysztof Ratajski who round out the top 10.
World Champion, Peter Wright sits 15th after missing the final two European Tour tournaments. European Tour mainstay Ian White only just got in at 21st place. While Glen Durrant got in but will not be involved due to a positive COVID-19 test meaning William O'Connor takes his spot.
